summary

There appears to be quite a bit of pace in this event with the likes of TELECOM BROTHERS, LITTLE BIRD and PHANTOM FALCON all competing for the early lead. On the “C+3” course that might set up nicely for ZERO HEDGE who can camp on the back of the speed and get his chance. Zero Hedge is close to being on his mark but this race might set up nicely for him. WALDORF is another with strong claims as the rise in grade means he will drop 6kg and over 1,200m with a lighter weight he could possibly settle closer. He was a sectional star when he last competed posting the ninth-best final-400m (22.68). Neither are likely to be any spoils in the market but each has solid claims. Not much else makes strong appeal. Telecom Brothers posted back-to-back wins over 1,000m and with more pressure over this longer journey it will make it tough for him to notch a hat trick. FAIRY TWINS brings the same form lines and he did hit the line stylishly (race-best final-200m 11.20) when defeated by Telecom Brothers last time. The little gear change with Little Bird is interesting, as he has travelled quite keenly with the blinkers so with the cheek pieces he might prove hard to catch if he isn’t forced to work too hard early. Overall though I can’t see too much advantage over the market here, so play prices accordingly.

There’s strong speed here with TELECOM BROTHERS, PHANTOM FALCON and LITTLE BIRD setting things up in front. ZERO HEDGE maps ideally with BREEDERS’ STAR on the rail.
