summary

I’m interested in a couple of horses in this event beginning with KASI FARASI. He was well-backed second-up and got too far back on a wet surface, but he hit the line better than anything in the race. The form out of that looks very good with Speedy King and Raging Blitzkrieg both winning on their next start. He will strip fitter again, gets a race with plenty of pace and should be ready to notch his first Hong Kong win. Irish import WAIKUKU has come up the early favourite, and while fitness shouldn’t be an issue on the back of a series of trials, he is hard to mark. That said I haven’t seen enough in his work to suggest he should be as short as he is in early markets and I’m happy to take him on. FLYING MURTY was progressive in Melbourne and has trialled okay, but also left the impression that he might need the outing. I will be having something small on PERFECT BUDDY. His debut was a lot better than it reads on paper and he will strip fitter and improve up to 1,200m. LUCKY HERO is another that can run well. He has trialled quite nicely, has the blinkers on and has raced well fresh in the past. The main bet is on Kasi Ferasi though, with a smaller outlay on Perfect Buddy and quinella place outlays with it, Lucky Hero and Flying Murty at odds.

I expect there to be GOOD pace here with VICTORY MACHINE working forward and KASI FARASI potentially ridden positively as well. EPTIMUM and PERFECT BUDDY should be able to settle just behind these two.
