summary
There is a good bet in this event, WHAT A LEGEND. It was a terrific debut from the son of Duporth working home strongly over 1,000m when clearly still looking very green. In addition there appears to be plenty of upside about him. The step up to 1,200m and low drawn give him a fantastic chance to notch a win with the main danger being another promising galloper (Tornado Twist) but one that is drawn wide and likely to get back in the field. TORNADO TWIST is clearly a talent and that was displayed on his debut when settling back in the field and storming home to hit the frame from near last on the turn. He has had a trial since and left the impression he will appreciate further. The issue is the tactics from a wide gate? I believe they will be negative out of the barriers and that he will be most likely conceding ground to What A Legend. That might provide the chance to take some overs about What A Legend with Tornado Twist attracting public support given the Moreira/Size factor. ALPHA HEDGE was sound in defeat behind Charizard last time and he his last two runs have suggested he is close to a win. It’s hard to see the winner coming outside those three and there are no bigger priced runners that appeal.
