MANFUL STAR has solid course and distance stats and at his first run in this grade (last start) he performed quite well over 1,200m at Happy Valley. The low gate is a concern down the straight at Sha Tin, but the “outside” bias isn’t as prevalent this season and that might allow him to work home strongly. If you can forgive KEEP GOING for his last start performance, his two runs prior rated well-enough to win this contest and with the minor gear change of the visor replacing the blinkers, he can be competitive. TRENDIFUL has obviously had a good season for Jimmy Ting and his recent trial was pleasing, so he warrants some respect in a low-grade contest. FIRST BEAUT has come up the early favourite with Joao Moreira on board and obviously with a light weight he can run well. However, I can’t get him in the first three in the market so his place in this race is providing the value for others.
