This is quite an open race with a few that look capable but ultimately only one entrant (SOCCER BRAVE) has won on this all-weather (AWT) surface in the past and that galloper is not in the best of form at present. LUCKY STORM set a solid tempo when being overhauled at his last outing over the Happy Valley mile and if he can find the lead he might take some catching, although you do have to place some trust in his ability to handle the surface. MI BLANCO will probably come up favourite and on face value he looks a good one to take on given he is a Hong Kong maiden from 18 starts. The booking of Moreira will ensure he is short in the market. LITTLE FANTASY brings in similar form and his efforts overall this term has been relatively solid, so it is easy enough to make a case for him. The most interesting runner is BEST EFFORT, who maps nicely and would definitely be a chance based on his run two starts back. He handles this surface and any push in the market would be an additional positive. The back-up for TRIUMPHAL WIN might also be a positive but his efforts on the AWT have only been fair and a better option might be THE INVINCIBLE who posted his best effort on this surface last season but he is resuming after a break of two months.
