The two principals in the market look to have this race between them, ROMANTIC CHEF and MY WINNER. Romantic Chef got away with some very cheap sectionals when he won last start and whilst there might be a touch more pressure in this event, he has upside and the services of Zac Purton to find the right position and rate him accordingly. He has to carry 5kg more which might give a chance to My Winner to turn the tables (a 3kg weight-swing between them) even though the latter has a little bit to find on raw figures. If My Winner can get a soft run in transit, which he’s drawn to receive, his cause will certainly be aided. EVER LAUGH, who also comes through the same form race (202) as the aforementioned runners, worked home well last time but he will need to take closer order this time around. The weight swing is obviously in his favour however, receiving 3.5kg and 0.5kg from his main rivals. The clear over in this event is CHAPARRAL STAR, who has been holding his form exceptionally well this season. Perhaps the drop back to 1,400m and the return to Sha Tin might make the difference. He will go out bigger odds than he really should in the market.
