R10 LUKFOOK JEWELLERY CONVERGENCE OF LOVE COLLECTION

-

Sha Tin (M29) - Sunday, 16 December 2018

17:15 HK TIME

summary

PAKISTAN FRIEND’S last start race was forgettable for a number of reasons, but mostly because of the fall that severely injured and hospitalized Tye Angland. Following that serious event the loose horse (Go Beauty Go) went on to affect the running of Pakistan Friend and diminished his winning chances – completely secondary to the health of Tye, however the straight analysis of the race has the facts remain. So the run of Pakistan Friend was very good all things considered and if he receives a softer run on the speed then he’ll be hard to beat. In fact he should strip a fitter horses which adds to his chances. GREEN LUCK clearly appreciated the step up to a mile when scoring on his third Hong Kong start and he also relished the solid speed in that event. I am not sure he gets the same tempo here, but he is also open to further improvement. The firmer ground might help CHEERFUL BOY and SACRED IBIS bounce back to form, but they have a fair bit to find against Pakistan Friend. Whilst NEW ELEGANCE seems better suited to Sha Tin than Happy Valley, but he was a touch disappointing all the same last time. He’s a frustrating horse, because at his best he could easily win this race and I’m wary of him especially as he gets out in price. Make sure you have him on one ticket if taking quaddies with a smaller percentage beyond main outlay Pakistan Friend.

The pace should be even and overall GOOD with PAKISTAN FRIEND and CHEERFUL BOY the two leaders. UNICRON JEWELLERY and NEW ELEGANCE should be able to find positions behind those two and therefore receive great runs through out.
