This is not a race to get overly enthusiastic about, but the drop in to this class might be a key for SUPER EURO STAR who has managed a win and placing from two attempts in this grade. He is drawn to get a good run and this looks a winnable race for him. The reality is that there are only a couple of lengths separating a number of these horses and luck in the running will play a huge role. THE SHOW is holding his form well and the apprentice’s claim gives him a chance to figure in the finish once again. Incidentally he’ll carry the same weight as when he dead-heated for first in a Class 5 in early October. RAICHU can be competitive on this rating and the gate helps him with Zac Purton on board – he’s the only jockey to have won aboard him. ROYAL CHOCOLATE might strip fitter for the one run back this term and with the cheek-pieces going back on, he merits inclusion but once again, but will need a good ride from a wide alley. Overall it’s a tricky race but a small each way outlay on Super Euro Star is one way to play.
