summary

We’re back to the all-weather for this event and it is quite an open race. The map favours TRAVEL FIRST who can take advantage of a low barrier and settle in a prominent position. He is third-up now and should be ready to show his best, which gives him a chance to go close. If KING’S MAN can settle a touch closer from the barrier then he warrants respect on the back of an excellent finish when he last competed. He handles the surface and the booking of Zac Purton is a positive. BRING IT ON hasn’t competed on the surface but maps nicely and if he handles the all-weather, then his form is good enough. Race 168 also provides highlights the chances of Hay Run (and King’s Man) who come through the same reference as Bring It On. LUCKY SHINY DAY might settle closer in the running today compared with last time given he’ll jump from barrier 3 and he has placed on one of his two runs on this surface. This overall though is a tough race and I won’t be suggesting any significant plays. To be fair a small each way on Travel First is a safe option, without kicking for touch.

speed

There isn’t much speed here with TRAVEL FIRST a likely leader. POWER MAN can work forward with KING’S MAN and BRING IT ON can secure a run close to the leaders from his inside barrier.
