A lacklustre field has been assembled for this event with LE PEGASE bidding for a hat-trick of wins this season for rookie trainer Jimmy Ting. The horse’s efforts this term have him rating well clear of his rivals. On paper it looks as though he will be able to dictate the pace to suit and prove hardest to run down. COME ON WONGCHOY should get a soft run on the back of the speed and his last run was good enough to suggest he can hit the frame. He might shape as being a little value outside of the favourite. ROOKIE STAR arguably had the tempo against him on his last outing when battling away to finish fourth. It was a performance if repeated that could have him finish in the frame. This is not a major investment race, but I don’t want to take on the favourite in this one.
