summary
The drop in class is a major positive for MULTIMAX who has been holding his form well this preparation with excuses when defeated in a grade higher. He has drawn to advantage and with the apprentice’s claim; he gets in to this event very well handicapped. He maps well and is clearly the horse to beat. KEEP GOING is a genuine winning chance in this event if he can settle closer from a low draw. I like the booking of senior rider Chad Schofield and the form from his last start (race 96) has worked out well (Gentle Breeze and Happy Force have won since). The drop in class is also a key for AVELLINO who has drawn a touch awkwardly but rates well and if he can find the right spot then he looks capable of making his presence felt on his first start for Caspar Fownes. LIGHTNING MISSILE seemed to move quite well in a Happy Valley trial leading in to this outing, but he generally improves with a run under the belt.
