The fourth race on the card is quite an open event. ROMANTIC CHEF looks more progressive than most here, but the awkward draw of barrier 14 makes life difficult. However, the step up to a mile is a clear positive for the son of Savabeel and he looks capable of being able to win this. I expect that Zac Purton will try and be positive from his wide alley and try to push forward early. If Romantic Chef manages to get to on or outside of the leader without too much exertion he’s the horse to beat. A solid enough case can be made for EVER LAUGH who maps well and should be at peak fitness given this is his fourth run of the preparation. He certainly gets his chance to take closer order in the running than recently because of his draw and he can finish off strongly. HEROIC GURU shapes to be competitive in this event and he looks to be relatively ignored by the market early in betting. His latest run rated quite well and in an even race, he might be able to notch his fifth career win. He needs a few favours in the running as he’s a natural backmarker and there isn’t much pressure in the race. SUNNY POWER had a touch run on his seasonal reappearance and will no doubt strip fitter but the problem is he has drawn the outside gate again. Monitor prices here, I’m not going to recommend an outlay(s) as such, although small win bets on Ever Laugh and Heroic Guru could be warranted.
