The best of the day presents in the last race, SUPERICH. He was a good thing beaten at his previous start and can atone late this afternoon. The wide draw is a little tricky, although it’s probably better than him being “boxed in” with horses crowding him and Purton should be able to find a reasonable spot with cover around midfield. He is delivering the right sectionals to suggest that he’s one of the more promising horses in Hong Kong and unlikely to be contained in Class 2 for long. LEAN PERFECTION was excellent against the rails bias on the dirt last start and back racing on the turf is a positive – he will make his presence felt. He’s a really attractive price and a good quinella option with Superich, and you might even want to take a small “win saver” on Lean Perfection. WORLD RECORD remains in solid form and should be working home strongly as he invariably does. If those in front of him go too fast then he can swoop to pick up the pieces. EASY GO EASY WIN has a couple of gear changes with the cheek-pieces (instead of blinkers) and tongue-tie being fitted and will strip fitter second-up this prep. However, Superich will be very hard to beat and I’m happy to bet him accordingly.
