I believe that the favourite for this race INSAYSHABLE is vulnerable. Notwithstanding the fact he worked too hard on-pace at his last outing and was found wanting late, he just hasn’t produced the required figures to justify such a short early quote here. VICTORY BOYS delivered a sound win at his last start and if he holds that form for this event then he will be hard to beat. His issue is that there doesn’t appear to be much pace in the race, but he is drawn close to the rail so might not need to get too far off the leaders in the running. PIKACHU isn’t easy to find – his form is fluctuating – but he could get the right run from a low draw and isn’t out of it at his best. HARMONY VICTORY was very good first-up this season and then ran a touch flat at his next outing, but is worth another chance with the step up to 1800m. Again his draw isn’t ideal, but I like what I’ve seen from him in only a short Hong Kong career to date. So I’m happy to go against Insayshable by backing primarily Victory Boys and Harmony Victory.
