It is pretty hard to knock the recent form of ELUSIVE STATE who has gone to another level since joining Tony Millard’s string. He is a deserved favourite and will be hard to beat again even though he’ll need a sharp ride from the outside barrier. With a swing in the weights, a fairer track and the booking of Moreira, REMARKABLE should run well. He probably needed the run first-up and I expect that he’d be improved since. He’s the type where clear running and being able to build into his race at the right time is important, so being drawn out isn’t as significant for him as it might be for others. RIGHT HONOURABLE has been in solid form this term and there is no reason why he shouldn’t perform well again, while TANG FLEMING might get an easy time on-pace and if that transpires, then he could be some value also. Given early betting this is a race where my pricing dictates small win outlays on Tang Fleming and Right Honourable.
