summary
The second race is on the all-weather surface and it’s probably best watched. SPICY KAKA has been in solid form this preparation and with the move up to a mile he looks well placed to get back in the winner’s enclosure. I expect that he’ll receive a soft run on the rail; two or three back from the leader, and will only need a little luck to be fighting out the finish. The big value in this event is RIGHTEOUS MATE. He is badly drawn (which is a significant reason for his price), but his efforts this term have rated well and I believe he can transfer that form to the all-weather. He will need some Purton genius, but at the price he’s worth a small outlay. QUICK RETURN will probably be over-bet with Moreira jumping on board, but his overall profile gives him claims to be one of the hardest to beat. SUPERIOR BOY had the bias in his favour when scoring over this course and distance at his last outing, but he will get a soft run again and isn’t the worst here. I won’t be betting into this race to any significant degree, however Spicy Kaka and Righteous Mate are the two at prices.
