The first race presents as a very open affair. On his seasonal return TRAVEL AMBASSADOR finished on okay behind Glory Star in what was a very high rating race for the grade. He should strip fitter for the run and can potentially land in an okay spot in the running from a middle draw. MANAGEMENT STAR, WONDERFUL TIGER and MONEY WINNER come through the same form line (race 119) and each warrants respect. Zac Purton picks up the ride on Wonderful Tiger and he’s drawn to take up a favourable position in the running. He hasn’t been given all favours this preparation and I expect better tonight. Money Winner also maps well and is ready to win his first race. The most interesting runner is SHOWING CHARACTER who steps up to this distance for the first time. He might appreciate the move up in trip and will be fit enough having had three runs so far this season. His first Hong Kong win came off a rating of 32, that said it was almost two years ago (and he went back-to-back)! All-in-all, this is a race best watched, or as I say, use my prices accordingly.
