summary

As usual, this is a competitive race for C4 gallopers over 1800m and there’s not much between the ratings of a number of runners. There might be a value hope with YOUNG GLORY who doesn’t really map that well but he managed to power home at his last outing over a mile clocking the 14th-best final-400m (22.70) of the meeting in the process. He should appreciate the step up in trip and can run well. BRING IT ON comes through a decent form race won by Pakistan Friend (Sichuan Boss has won since) and with an economical run he can be a factor. The switch back to the turf will help HAY RUN, who is still yet to win from 20 local starts, but there have been a number of good efforts in defeat. The runner though that makes the most appeal is YOU HAVE MY WORD. Zac Purton was recently fined for his comments made via Twitter about the ride on this horse by van Niekerk, and it certainly was a poor performance by the South African. That race rated superior to the opposition and You Have My Word was excellent in defeat all things considered – he can atone.

speed

I don’t expect there to be an abundance of speed here. MIDNITE PROMISE can lead from MCQUEEN with GOOD DAYS sitting off them.
