There are two horses that stand out on recent form in this event and both are last start winners, WITNESS HUNTER and FORTUNATE RUNNER. The former is arguably open to a touch more progress, but he will also need some luck or a good ride from a middle draw. However, Witness Hunter is with the right stable to bring him along, Frankie Lor seems to be able allow young gallopers develop and improve. The form behind Fortunate Runner is working out nicely with several of the opposition he beat that day, performing well subsequently. GOUTEN OF GARO goes in to this event third-up and his runs this term have been pleasing – he can hit the frame. While SUPREME WITNESS worked too hard in the lead at his last couple of starts and can bounce back. He just needs to jump from the gates better and the lead position should be available for him to get too without working too hard.
