At his last start SUPER HOPPY got a long way back from a draw that made anything else rather difficult. There’s good speed in tonight’s race and he should secure a far better run on the rail and not so far from the leaders. From there he can run into the finish at what I expect to be a good price. JADE FORTUNE is another runner that looks worthy of a play. He too can get the right run behind a fast speed and I was impressed with the number he put up when winning his last start. He was heavily penalised by the handicapper (10 points), but he’ll still get enough weight from some key rivals to give him his chance to win again. WISHFUL THINKER is the type of galloper that can really sprint fast late in his races when things are run to suit. He’ll get his chance here and just needs to cope with the city circuit. GUNNISON is drawn poorly and will require some luck. It won’t surprise me if they ride him quiet early and for that to allow him to hit the line well.
