There are a couple of horses at good prices that are worth outlaying on in this event, which has me going against the early favourite GOOD COMPANION. DOLLAR REWARD was a big run when second to Khaki 10 days ago (race 131) when running a meeting best last-200m of 11.23. There looks to be good pace in this race tonight and he maps to sit midfield from barrier 6, a good place from where to launch his finishing sprint. SPRING WIN has also come up a big price. He doesn’t position quite so well, but he sustained a strong final-600m run at his last start and with at least a good speed overall can run over the top of them late at odds. VERY RICH MAN is racing well and will likely be a part of the early speed. If he doesn’t get worked too hard early he can be there late. GALLANT RETURN looks like he’ll get one of the runs of the race and can run a race in a fresh state. His work has been okay and is rated to be competitive. I’m happy to have a main outlay on Dollar Reward though here, with smaller units on Spring Win.
