There is not much depth to this event and consequently there looks to be a bet here with VICTORIOUS LEADER. He has only had one career start where he was sent out $4.00 and was defeated by Shimmer And Shine last season. Victorious Leader finished sixth but the form from that race (640) stacked up well with Shimmer And Shine, Noble Delight (fourth) and Noble Delight (fifth) all winning their next starts. In addition Lunar Zephyr ran second then and has already won this season. Victorious Leader has had a Happy Valley trial this season and won that well. LONDON MASTER has been in good form and should run well. He maps to sit behind midfield, which isn’t ideal, but should be ready to run near his best being fourth-up. MONEYMORE was heavily backed last start and ran well, but has a task here getting the right run from the outside draw. MANFUL STAR comes from my Sweet In Defeat files and he didn’t have many favours last start. He is another that will need a touch of luck, but is at a good price to have something on too. DIAMOND LEGEND is trained now by Tony Cruz, who has a very good record of winning first up with horses that enter his stable, he is simply too short to back however, even though he might be ready to run better than he did last term.
