The drop in class is significant for RAICHU who has been performing well this season in three runs. Tonight from a good barrier with Zac Purton on board and a decent amount of pace in the race there is plenty in his favour. Purton has ridden him once before and delivered Raichu’s only win and that night he sat in a forward position before striking. THE SHOW maps well and might be ignored by the market to an extent, but my assessment is that he can win again and looks the right price to bet. SHOW MISSION hit the line quite well over the minimum trip at his last outing and the move up in distance will suit him. He made the SID file but will need a ride from gate 8 with Whyte on board – good luck. TRENDIFUL was heavily backed before his first run for Jimmy Ting and might deserve one more chance up to 1200m. His second-up record on pure numbers is superior to his fresh-up record, so could improve. At the prices however, The Show is worth backing each way here.
