summary

Reigning Hong Kong Horse of the Year BEAUTY GENERATION was superb when resuming this term in the Celebration Cup. He sat on top of an even speed before finding a supreme sprint to win in hollow fashion. He maps to lead and control things up front and is a deserved favourite, albeit a very short one. As a result of that (race 62) performance Beauty Generation concedes 2.5kg and 3kg to return rivals NOTHINGILIKEMORE, SEASONS BLOOM and BEAUTY ONLY. Of those runners Seasons Bloom is a quick improver and is suited to the mile, whilst Beauty Only hit the line very well and highlighted that he has returned in excellent order this season. PAKISTAN STAR enters the fray and this very classy but enigmatic thoroughbred has prepared well enough for him to be competitive. He is capable of settling in the first half of the field and if he does he’s got the class to win and receiving 2.5kg off Beauty Generation is a big plus. SINGPORE SLING also resumes and the HK Derby form reads well, he’s well-weighted and drawn to get one of the runs of the race. I’m happy to speck Pakistan Star given his price.

speed

BEAUTY GENERATION can lead this event at a GOOD speed overall. TIME WARP might be asked to pressure him with SINGAPORE SLING able to sit off these two. NOTHINGILIKEMORE is drawn to get a soft run and PAKISTAN STAR is capable of traveling in the first half of this field.
