There’s a stack of speed in this event and it could get messy with several horses likely to be contesting for the lead. Having said that, MULTIMAX got to start number 50 before connections decided to use the blinkers and it had the desired effect of extracting another win out of the horse, which rated reasonably well for a Class 5 event. He gets in to this race with 49kg and drawn high might be a plus as it will allow his rider to keep working around until he’s happy with his position. There isn’t any real standout for this event. VICTORY POWER got shuffled back in the field last start and had clear excuses; he has another inside draw to be given every chance, but looks too short early on. MR RIGHT will land on the speed and be there for a fair way, he is usually thereabouts over this course and distance but he will have to sustain plenty of pressure. RAICHU can be expected to be working home late as per usual and the shape of this race might turn out to be quite suitable. I don’t approach this event with a high degree of confidence, however Multimax looks like a fair enough each way outlay.
