There is a decent bet in this event with SICHUAN BOSS. He was very good in defeat off a fast tempo at Happy Valley last start when fourth to Right Honourable. There isn’t much speed in this race today and perhaps they will take up the running with the 4.5kg apprentice on board. If that’s the case, then he’ll be very tough to run down. The move to a mile will suit PAKISTAN FRIEND who wasn’t suited by the steady fractions last time and he can win, but he seems very short in the market, again, which is a familiar script for him. BRING IT ON is another that might go out over his true odds and third-up I expect that he should go well. The draw and pace is an issue though. That said, Sichuan Boss is the main play around the favourite Pakistan Friend. Take Bring It On also even though he’ll need a touch of luck, not much else makes appeal.
