I’m no overly keen on playing into this all-weather track event to any great extent. That said, my overview is that the tempo should be strong enough (at least good) with WINNING SUPREME and that might set it up nicely for stable-mate ENJOY LIFE, who hasn’t raced on this surface yet. Enjoy Life has had the benefit of a couple of runs this season and I expect that he can run well with pacifiers fitted. LET US WIN and QUICK RETURN both act well on the AWT but are still maidens in Hong Kong and have had plenty of opportunities to break through. The latter is on a career-low rating and has run his best races off low marks, with Zac Purton riding – he demands respect, although too short in early betting. So that might leave it open for another runner, DIAMOND FRIENDS. Acquired by Jimmy Ting, Diamond Friends handles the surface and also seems well weighted; in addition he’s drawn to get an economical run around midfield. Lastly GOOD FIT went quite well in a recent trial and if close to his best he’ll be competitive. This is a difficult race, I suggest small outlays only on Enjoy Life and Diamond Friends.
