summary

There doesn’t seem a great deal of pace on paper here, but that being the case there may be one or two connections that decide they want their horses to press forward when least expected. The cheek-pieces being applied to FULL OF CHANCES, combined with the potentially slow tempo, might mean he can settle around midfield and on the back of his first up run he looks a very solid chance. PLAY IT could potentially go forward with the 4.5kg apprentice Victor Wong on board and he can run a race, as he was quite consistent last preparation. I expect that Play It can run a race at good odds. RED ELYSSES was probably close enough to a solid speed when he last competed and battled quite gamely. He’s drawn to get a soft trip and could dash into it late. GOOD DAYS should be competitive in this grade where he has won two of nine starts. His fresh effort this term was a good “pipe-opener” in preparation for this. The early market suggests that there’s plenty of value around Red Elysees, Play It and Good Days.

speed

There isn’t much speed on paper here. MIDNITE PROMISE might lead here from GOOD DAYS. PLAY IT takes a little time to find his feet early but might be asked to stride forward down the back straight.
