This is a relatively even race although the step up to a mile should suit BUNDLE OF ENERGY who ran with merit over 1,200m on his seasonal return. The son of Reliable Man has been crying out for this trip, he looks ready now and is worth an each way play. SPEEDY WALLY is arguably close to his mark in the handicap, but ran well first-up this preparation in the same race (15) as ALL YOU KNOW with each of them being able to improve having had that outing. All You Know is awkwardly drawn and will have the cheek-pieces back on, but he will need a sharp ride from the wide gate. SPARKLING SWORD was quite good given he had to work hard last time in the run and he might get an easier trip on this occasion. The lead-up barrier trial of GOLD VELVET was very good but he maps back in the field and coupled with the expectation of a moderate speed, the “C+3” course will not help his cause.
