Another horse highlighted via ‘Sweet in Defeat’ races here, COUNTRY STAR. He’s also the best bet on the card. The step up to 1,200m is a plus and along with the favourable draw, he should enjoy the run of the race. I am quite sure he would have gone very close to winning but for being badly hampered at a critical stage on debut and tonight he can atone. BINGO might have to work from a wide draw but his end of season runs were good enough to suggest that he will be suited by the rail being in the “C+3” position. LOVE CHUNGHWA usually derives benefit from a first-up run and he might get the required pace in this event. WINNING SUPREME will be part of that pace and once again, with the rail in the outermost position he can run well. NABOO STAR makes his debut for Caspar Fownes and has moved quite well in his work and is worthy of consideration.
