We’re back to the all-weather here and there appears to be a standout that might be a play depending on his price and another that could be a smaller outlay on the same basis. ENCORE BOY was very, very good when second in his first-up run this preparation on the dirt when handy to a fast speed and therefore making himself vulnerable to the closers late. The apprentice Mo jumps aboard here and the 2.5kg claim looks a plus. The 4.5kg claim might also come in handy for HARBOUR ALERT who has also had the benefit of a run. His only win came on this surface albeit back in July of last year when with Paul O’Sullivan (he’s now with Tony Millard). Not much else makes great appeal. STAR OF YAN OI ran on quite well first-up and the inside gate might mean he can settle closer, with SUPER MAN arguably on his mark, but another that might hit the frame if at his best.
