This race looks quite obvious on paper as a battle between RISE HIGH and DOCTOR GEOFF. Rise High has been particularly impressive winning his last two starts over the course and distance, including a win over Doctor Geoff. Rise High has shown an explosive sprint that suggests he’s high-class and he meets rival Doctor Geoff on a touch better weight terms here this afternoon. Rise High has had a freshen-up since that clash but this looks like a targeted race for him and I expect he’ll be ready. Doctor Geoff was supremely impressive at Happy Valley following their clash and is hard and fit. He’s still green but can deliver another strong performance back at Sha Tin. Of the others, BORN IN CHINA was given a poor ride last time in defeat and perhaps he will appreciate the move up to the mile. From barrier 1 he will do no extra work and could take advantage of any bad luck that the favourites would need to strike for one of them not to win. I’m with Rise High though, although once again there’s not much between the two with monitoring prices key.
