The early favourite LAMAROSA is ready to win a race, but he has been plagued with issues (blood in the trachea and a heart irregularity) that mean backing him comes with these caveats. He can win, of course at his best he is one of the leading chances, but looks to be short enough with the blinkers and Zac Purton both on. FLYING MONKEY prior to his last run had been racing well and suggesting that a win is close. He hasn’t had the arduous season that many of his rivals have had and his most recent effort can be forgiven. The key for FLYING MONKEY is whether he can slot in from a middle barrier. MR RIGHT is now down in this class where he has won five of his 12 starts. Given his pattern of racing on the speed, he’ll be in the fight until late in the race and can win. TRIUMPHANT JEWEL has posted a number of solid efforts recently but hasn’t drawn the best unfortunately for connections. He can certainly cause a minor upset with any luck in the running. Flying Monkey is worth a small each way given where he sits in the market.
